Laid down as the 4th ship of the Agano-class in 1939 as part of the Fourth Fleet Replenishment Plan, the Yahagi was completed in December 1943 and went on to serve valiantly in the Battle of the Philippine Sea. Perhaps she is most famous for her fateful final sortie to Okinawa with the battleship Yamato. Her distinctive armament of two quadruple torpedo launchers are sharply reproduced, as are the many anti-aircraft guns that were added to the cruiser's final form. Completed Length: 247mm
